Welcome
to my therapy booth

Welcome to my therapy booth, a professional private practice offering counselling and psychotherapy to adults. I'm here to help you tackle life’s challenges in a safe and confidential space where you can feel understood and accepted. Heal and grow with compassion and expertise.

About Me

Hi, I’m Nicole, the therapist behind My Therapy Booth.Supporting people through loss and bereavement is at the heart of my work. Grief can touch every part of life, and I believe it deserves care, patience, and a space free from pressure or expectations. My passion for this work comes from personal experience of bereavement, alongside my professional role with Cruse Bereavement Support, where I support individuals through many forms of loss. This work has deeply shaped my understanding of grief and how uniquely it can show up for each person.Alongside bereavement support, I also work with clients experiencing anxiety, low mood, emotional overwhelm, and life transitions, particularly when these are connected to loss, change, or feeling stuck.

Many people come to therapy for one reason, only to discover there’s more beneath the surface and we work with that together, at your pace.My Therapy Booth was created as a calm, non-judgmental space where you don’t have to hold everything together. Whether you’re navigating grief, adjusting to change, or simply feeling lost, you’re welcome here.

Training, Qualifications & Experience

I am pluralistically trained therapist, which means I draw from a range of therapeutic approaches to suit you, your experiences, your needs, and your goals rather than relying on a single method. You are unique, and I believe your counselling should be too.

While I specialise in bereavement counselling, supporting people through grief and loss, I also work with a wide range of concerns. Clients often come to therapy for one reason, but together we gently explore whatever arises in the room, at your pace.

Alongside my private practice, I have experience working with Cruse Bereavement Support and Place2Be, supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds, ages, and life experiences. These roles have strengthened my ability to offer compassionate, flexible support tailored to each person.

I also have a background in healthcare and nursing home settings, which has given me valuable insight into ageing, illness, end-of-life care, and the impact these experiences can have on individuals and families. More recently, I have become a Dementia Friend, further supporting my work with clients affected by dementia, memory loss, and related bereavement.

Qualifications & Professional Development

I hold the following qualifications:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care

  • Prince’s Trust Level 3 Diploma in Hypnotherapy & Introduction to Counselling Skills

  • Prince’s Trust Level 4 Diploma in Counselling Skills and Theory (Dip CST)

  • Prince’s Trust Level 5 Professional Diploma in Therapeutic Practice (RQF

I also undertake ongoing Continuing Professional Development (CPD) to ensure my practice remains ethical, informed, and responsive to my clients’ needs.

Counselling & Psychotherapy

What is counselling and psychotherapy?

Counselling and psychotherapy are forms of "talking therapy"  aimed at helping individuals manage personal issues, emotional distress, and psychological problems.

Both offer numerous benefits for individuals seeking support. Clients can gain insights into their behaviours, develop coping mechanisms, and enhance their self-awareness. Ultimately, this process can lead to personal growth and a more life.

Bereavement counselling and psychotherapy offer support to individuals navigating grief and loss, helping them process emotions and adapt to life after the death of a loved one. These therapies provide a safe space to explore feelings, understand the grieving process, and develop coping mechanisms.
